The cost distribution related to the Foundation’s sole purpose of fulfilling extended producer responsibility obligations is shown below.<\/p>\n

WEEE Management, which includes transport, collection, treatment, compensation to installers and distributors and compensation to local authorities, decreased by 14.7% against 2021 given the decrease of 12.4% in total kg collected (this being a decrease of 15.4% in household waste and an increase of 11.7% in professional waste). In addition, in one specific region, having achieved a higher collection target for WEEE in 2021, its Communication item decreased in 2022. This has resulted in an overall decrease of 8.8% compared to 2021.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Structure item increased by 14% compared to 2021, which is mainly due to the return to normality post-Covid, with the consequent increase in travel and the return to the office of the organisation’s employees, although teleworking was partially maintained. It should be noted that this Structure item has been fully aligned with the budget foreseen for financial year 2022.<\/p>\n

This new company adopted the name ECOTIC Entidad Administradora S.L.<\/a>, and was incorporated on 15 July 2021 by ECOTIC Foundation<\/a> as the sole shareholder, but started its business activity on 1 January 2022.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The figure of the administrative entity was created with the aim of covering a new organisational design of ECOTIC<\/a> through which it is intended to generate operational synergies and greater management efficiencies for the benefit of producers who are members of the ECOTIC Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Its activity consists mainly of providing services to entities that manage extended producer responsibility systems, as well as to third parties related to the latter. The company also designs, organises, manages and finances waste management, including the supervision of these operations, as well as post-closure maintenance of landfills.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To this end, the human resources and the assets necessary for the performance of the activity deriving from the extended producer responsibility entrusted to the ECOTIC Foundation<\/a> were transferred with effect as of 1 January 2022.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The entity obtained a positive result of \u20ac15,425 in financial year 2022, thus fulfilling the forecasts of its annual budget.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Likewise, the Board of Trustees of the ECOTIC Foundation<\/a> unanimously agreed, in accordance with Article 24 of Law 50\/2002<\/a> on Foundations, to set up a new foundation under the name “Fundaci\u00f3n ECOTIC CLIMA<\/a>“, for the management of the following categories of waste electrical and electronic equipment:<\/p>\n
